Family Weekend 2017

October 6–8

Family Weekend is an opportunity for families and friends of University of Indianapolis students to explore campus life. See what’s new on campus, enjoy a family brunch with President Manuel, and cheer on the Hounds during a volleyball match. Join us for “Last Lecture” on Saturday afternoon, hosted by Deb Sachs, UIndy’s Teacher of the Year. The event is based on the best-selling book The Last Lecture by Jeffrey Zaslow and Randy Pausch and addresses the question “what would you have to say if you had one final opportunity to address those you cared about?”

On Saturday night, join the campus community and alumni for an outdoor concert on Smith Mall by pop-rock singer, songwriter, producer and pianist Jon McLaughlin. Purchase a table for up to 10 of your family and friends or bring a blanket and relax on the lawn. To ensure that all are able to enjoy this event in a safe enviroment, please note that the following items are not allowed: Pets, grills, large tables, glass containers, large umbrellas, candles, tents, firearms, fireworks, tiki torches, sparklers and alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages will be available for sale on site. Seating is general admission.

When you arrive on campus, be sure to stop by the Hospitality Table inside the Schwitzer Student Center for refreshments and a final schedule.
