The School of Psychological Sciences (SoPS) prepares graduates who will serve to advance psychological science where they live and serve to help individuals, groups, organizations and communities function better. We strive to foster a sense of responsibility for improving the human condition, contributing to the welfare of others and providing creative leadership in the professional community and society at large. SoPS has a respect for the dignity of all individuals and cultural groups. Our faculty work to develop mutual respect and responsibility with students by promoting personal goals while providing a quality education.
UIndy offers a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology to prepare students for professional licensure in counseling, or continued preparation for a PhD program. The program offers three track options:
- Mental Health Counseling
- Mental Health Counseling & Addictions Counseling
UIndy's competitive PsyD program focuses on educating and training students for general clinical practice in psychology.
Students can develop additional expertise in one of three concentration areas:
- Health Psychology & Behavioral Medicine
- Childhood & Adolescent Psychology
- Adult Psychopathology & Psychotherapy
SoPS seeks to seeks to serve the Indianapolis community through its Psychological Services Center, providing approximately 900 client sessions per year.
