The School of Psychological Sciences (SoPS) prepares graduates who will serve to advance psychological science where they live and serve to help individuals, groups, organizations and communities function better. We strive to foster a sense of responsibility for improving the human condition, contributing to the welfare of others and providing creative leadership in the professional community and society at large. SoPS has a respect for the dignity of all individuals and cultural groups. Our faculty work to develop mutual respect and responsibility with students by promoting personal goals while providing a quality education.
The MA in Psychology program offers three track options and is designed for students who are interested in non-clinical work in psychology or who want more research experience before pursuing a PhD program.
UIndy's competitive PsyD program focuses on educating and training students for general clinical practice in psychology.
Students can develop additional expertise in one of three concentration areas:
- Health Psychology & Behavioral Medicine
- Childhood & Adolescent Psychology
- Adult Psychopathology & Psychotherapy
We also seek to engage the community in current events related to psychology, both here and around the world, through our blog.
