Why study psychology at UIndy?
At UIndy, you'll find a variety of psychology programs tailored to your educational and professional goals. In addition to small class sizes and personal advising, we offer a concentration in clinical and counseling studies for psychology majors, research opportunities, and an accelerated BA/MA program that allows top students to complete both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in just five years.
Choosing the right psychology major
You may be wondering, "What's the difference between the psychology major and the applied psychology major?" If you plan to pursue graduate studies immediately upon graduation, the traditional psychology major is for you. If you wish to enter the workforce immediately upon degree completion or who would like to combine psychology with another area of study at UIndy, you will want to choose the applied psychology major.
A roadmap for your future
We want you to feel confident that you're on the right path to a career in psychology that's truly fitting for your interests and skillset. During your freshman year, you'll take a Career and Educational Pathways course in which you'll explore the breadth of opportunities at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral level and areas related to psychology. After finishing the class, you will be able to formulate a plan for how to make the most of your remaining years at UIndy and achieve your goals upon graduation.
