Greyhounds claim second consecutive GLVC All-Sports Trophy
UIndy’s varsity athletic teams have claimed the Great Lakes Valley Conference All-Sports Trophy for the second year in a row and the fifth time overall. The award recognizes the school with the year’s best all-around performance in the GLVC’s 18 sponsored sports. UIndy boasts five conference champions this year, including football, men’s indoor track & field, men’s and women’s golf, and men’s and women’s outdoor track & field, along with strong finishes in men’s and women’s cross country, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, and volleyball.

Forensic team to aid in Texas migrant crisis
So many undocumented migrants are turning up dead in rural Brooks County, Texas, that the local cemetery is running out of space for them. UIndy forensic anthropologist Krista Latham and four graduate students will be there this week, exhuming graves as part of a humanitarian effort to repatriate the remains and bring closure to grieving families.

17 teams surpass 3.0 GPA during second semester
17 teams surpass 3.0 GPA during second semester
UIndy’s 500-plus student-athletes combined for a 3.2 grade point average during the second semester. Seventeen teams averaged above a 3.0, led by the women’s soccer team with a 3.64 GPA.

Senior Ananya Khan, an international business and global leadership major, has taken every opportunity to travel and study abroad during her time at UIndy. She’s spent semesters studying at Oxford University in England and American University in Washington, D.C., in addition to shorter trips to China and Japan. Her experiences have helped her land a job offer from the Department of Commerce after graduation.
