First-Year Students

Becoming a Greyhound.

Welcome, Future Greyhounds!

You’ve probably heard how important your undergraduate years will be. You need to find the right fit to give you the launch pad to your future. As an incoming first-year student, you've found the right place to start your journey.

Admitted? Here's What's Next!

Once you've been accepted to UIndy, you're in your final steps to becoming a UIndy student. In addition to completing a few necessary tasks, we invite you to join the UIndy Admitted Student group on ZeeMee, which allows you to connect with other future Greyhounds, find a roommate, or make new friends before you arrive next fall. We also reccomend that you set up your profile in your student applicant portal so you will be included in the incoming student yearbook!

Next steps:

Challenge Yourself with the Honors College

If you're a highly motivated and creative student, check out UIndy's Ron and Laura Strain Honors College. You'll get to delve deeper into your areas of interest and be challenged with independent study, research under guidance of a faculty member, and leadership and service opportunities. Students interested in the Honors College must have a GPA of 3.5.
