The international relations program at the University of Indianapolis offers an exceptional educational experience, designed to equip students with a deep understanding of international affairs, diplomacy, and global policy. After visiting UIndy for the first time I was able to envision myself on campus and knew that the small class sizes and vibrant community would be the right fit for me. I had the opportunity to study abroad with my international relations professor during my junior year. We visited Amsterdam, Berlin and Vienna, which allowed me to grow my horizon and understand what international relations truly means.
At UIndy, we provide numerous opportunities for students to gain practical experience alongside their academic studies. Students can participate in internships with international organizations, government agencies, and nonprofit entities, both domestically and abroad. These hands-on experiences, including unique opportunities to study abroad or intern in Washington, D.C., allow students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings, build professional networks, and gain a competitive edge in the job market. Additionally, our program’s location in Indianapolis offers access to a vibrant network of civic and cultural organizations, enhancing the learning experience.
International Relations Dual Degree 4+1
The University of Indianapolis offers a unique and accelerated path to academic and professional success with our International Relations dual degree 4+1 program. This innovative program allows students to earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in just five years, providing a comprehensive and advanced education in international relations.

Students can participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, including the History, Political Science and International Relations (JANUS) Club, Model United Nations, Model European Union and international study trips and study abroad opportunities.
