Requirements for Non-degree-seeking PsyD Students
The Graduate Psychology Program allows individuals to apply and take courses as non-degree-seeking students. Individuals wishing to take courses as non-degree-seeking students must follow these procedures:
- Please check back for updates on the new application link.
- Pay the $55.00 application fee.
- Arrange for an official transcript to be mailed to the School of Psychological Sciences, verifying completion of an advanced degree (i.e., baccalaureate degree or master's degree).
- Submit a statement about why you would like to take courses offered by the graduate program.
- List the course you would like to take.
- Receive a formal letter of acceptance from the School of Psychological Sciences indicating that you have received permission to enroll in the requested courses. All requests must be reviewed and approved by the Director of Doctorate Programs in Psychology.
- Individuals seeking additional coursework to complete requirements for licensure as a mental health counselor may petition for special provision to take other MA courses not listed below. All requests must be reviewed and approved by the Director of Doctorate Programs in Psychology.
Please note: GRE scores and letters of recommendation are not necessary for non-degree applicants.

Non-degree-seeking students are responsible for making sure that all tuition is paid prior to beginning coursework, and for providing their own liability insurance. Degree-seeking students in the program have priority over non-degree seeking students for available seats in courses. Non-degree-seeking students are responsible for following applicable guidelines and procedures found in the Graduate Program Handbooks and University of Indianapolis Student Handbook.
*Other courses in the graduate program are restricted to degree-seeking students admitted to our program.
