When to Arrive
First-Year Students
Residence Hall students*: First-year Greyhounds should plan on moving to campus at their assigned time and date, according to the information below.

Living-Learning Community Students: All accepted LLC students move into their assigned residence hall on Monday, August 19, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
All bills must be paid or payment arrangements made before moving into the residence halls.
Commuter Students
You will check in at the Information Desk on Wednesday, August 21, between 12 and 2 p.m. You will receive a copy of the Welcome Week schedule at check-in, obtain your meal vouchers, and engage with your Orientation Leaders.
Returning Students
Apartments—Returning students living in College Crossing, Greyhound Village, or University Lofts apartments may move in on Monday, August 5. You may arrive any time between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Residence Halls - Returning students living in a residence hall may move in between Friday, August 23–Sunday, August 25, between 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Students should report directly to their assigned residence hall to check in.
What to Expect
When you arrive at UIndy, traffic directors will help you get to the unloading area for your residence hall. You'll then check-in and receive your keys and Welcome Week information. Please make sure that you arrive during your specified arrival time outlined above.
Need Last-minute Stuff?
It's inevitable. You checked and rechecked your packing list, only to arrive and find you've forgotten your toothbrush! No worries. Several stores, including Target, Meijer, Walmart, Kohl's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Sam's Club and the Greenwood Park Mall are all about 10 minutes or less from campus. Our address is 1400 E. Hanna Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227, so you can look up directions to your favorite store.
