What to Bring

Items residents should consider bringing from home:

Alarm clock
Clothes hangers
Computer
Lamp
Towels
Renter's Insurance*
Cell phone
Cleaning supplies (for your room)
Extra-long twin sheets (80" x 36") and bedding materials
Shower bucket (for carrying supplies to and from bathroom)
Laundry bag/basket & detergent/supplies

Other helpful items include:

Plastic plates and cups
Silverware
Smart TV (Roku Ready)
Throw rug or carpet piece
Umbrella
Wall decorations
Backpack

The following small appliances are permitted:

Hair dryers
Popcorn poppers
Small microwaves
Small refrigerators (3.5 cubic ft.)
Coffee makers (K-Cup, Keurig, Nespresso - NOT hot plate coffee makers)

What not to bring

The following are a sample of things that are prohibited in the residence halls:

Air fryers
Alcoholic beverages
Archery equipment
Candles and incense
Crock pots
Electric blankets
Firearms
Fireworks
Illegal drugs
Knives
Large refrigerators
Non-battery operated string lights
Other items defined as weapons
Rice cookers
Waterbeds
Pets (aquariums are permissible, however)
Hot plates, toasters, toaster ovens, George Foreman Grills
Coffee pots (standard coffee pots with a hot plate surface)
