Master of Occupational Therapy
College of Health Sciences

The Master of Occupational Therapy program at the University of Indianapolis is specifically designed to meet the needs of full- and part-time professionals, with on-campus instruction two days a week. Students will gain a solid foundation of occupational therapy and have the opportunity to explore specialization through electives like pet-assisted therapy, pediatric feeding, brain injury, and more. With personalized attention from faculty with decades of industry experience, students will not only gain first-hand insights into their future careers, but also will join a network of healthcare professionals that will open doors to unique opportunities in the future. Graduates from the Master of Occupational Therapy program at UIndy emerge as valuable practitioners, prepared to make real impacts in their fields and their communities.
The Master of Occupational Therapy program understands that you are a person first, not a student. On day one, you will find that all of the professors are eager to see you succeed and push you to apply what is taught beyond the classroom. Yet, they also understand the contextual factors influencing the daily lives of their students, such as working and being a parent. Had it not been for this program, I would have not gained the opportunity to influence and create permanent change with people in my community.
First-Hand Experience, First-Hand Experience
At UIndy, the School of Occupational Therapy faculty do not just teach from the textbook, they draw from decades of first-hand experience in the field. Students in the Master of Occupational Therapy program will gain unique insights on their future careers, with faculty members representing a variety of areas of expertise, such as pediatrics, biomechanics, and neurorehabilitation. Additionally, faculty in the School of Occupational Therapy continue to hold leadership positions at prominent organizations, including the American Occupational Therapy Association and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
My professors were so personable and worked hard to foster meaningful relationships with their students. Years later, I have been recommended for amazing opportunities within the field of occupational therapy because of the support and guidance of my UIndy professors.
