CELL: Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning
As an outward-facing center focused on education innovation, the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) bridges the gap between research, policy, and practice to enhance student success in PK-12 and higher education. By connecting proven methods with real-world applications and collaborating across the educational ecosystem, CELL creates solutions that drive meaningful change. CELL’s work empowers educators and improves student outcomes, transforming lives through learning.
Center for Aging & Community
The Center for Aging & Community is one of Indiana's leading centers for aging studies, helping businesses and community organizations engage older adults with a focus on aging in place and meaningful work for older adults. Using an interdisciplinary approach that draws from UIndy faculty and resources in health care, education, business and other fields, the center develops partnerships to promote older adults as community assets and to improve their quality of life. The center also offers a Master of Science in Gerontology degree and a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology.
Center for Collaborative Innovation (CCI)
The Center for Collaborative Innovation (CCI) was founded through the Elevate Nexus Higher Education Grant. CCI will strengthen UIndy’s engineering entrepreneurial program and promote innovation-driven entrepreneurial activities across the UIndy campus through a collaborative innovation framework.
Center for Data Science
The Center for Data Science (CDS) is the central point for the University of Indianapolis' efforts in Data Science. The CDS aims to bring students, faculty, and industry partners together to form a diverse and vibrant data science community and create an environment for multidisciplinary collaboration and innovation.
Center for Ethics
Ethical challenges arise in every academic discipline, work place, and industry. The UIndy Center for Ethics provides high-quality, relevant, accessible ethics education for students, faculty, staff, and community members designed to help them meet these challenges.
Center for First-Year Experience & Student Success
UIndy FYE offers enriching experiences and endless opportunities to enhance your educational journey from the moment you attend New Hounds Day! During orientation, you will work closely with your advisor to create a customized schedule that fits your major, interests, and busy schedule. These amazing experiences are anchored by first-year seminars and New Student Experience courses, which are the foundation of every student's transformative journey at UIndy.
Center for Service-Learning & Community Engagement
A resource center, the Center for Service-Learning & Community Engagement at UIndy supports faculty and student development through service-learning and other community engagement initiatives. The Center coordinates and offers faculty development workshops, student services that promote social responsibility and creates spaces for community connections. The primary role of the Center is to promote and support UIndy’s motto, "Education for Service", through curricular and co-curricular experiences.
Christel DeHaan Center for Global Engagement
The Christel DeHaan Center for Global Engagement (CDCGE) houses the university's International Admissions Office, The Office of Study Abroad, International Partnerships and the Office of International Student and Scholar Services. We believe an immersive cultural experience contributes to the formation of a solid foundation and is critical for the development of life skills which strengthen all academic degree programs. The CDCGE provides orientation programs, workshops, immigration and other advising services to ensure the success of international students and scholars who have chosen the University of Indianapolis to be their temporary home away from home.
Gender Center
The Gender Center fosters dialogue and action to advance understanding of gender equity. This innovative center serves to challenge simplistic binaries to consider the complexities of gender, gender identity, sex, and sexual orientation (as well as intersectionality through ethnicity, class, nationality, etc.) through dynamic and meaningful programming.
Institute for Civic Leadership & Mayoral Archives
UIndy's Institute for Civic Leadership & Mayoral Archives uniquely blends past, present and future. Founded in 2011, the Institute houses the archives of innovative mayors Richard Lugar, William Hudnut III, Stephen Goldsmith and Bart Peterson, and also is a hub for conversations about vital issues in civic life.
UIndy's Mayoral Archives include documents, correspondence, news clippings, video, audio, photographs and artifacts. The collection contains more than 600 archival cartons that shed light on everything from routine city operations to major historical developments-the formation of Unigov, the school desegregation lawsuit, hosting of the Pan American Games, development of White River State Park, arrival of the Colts, and building sports venues.
Metropolitan Indianapolis-Central Indiana Area Health Education Center
A healthy Indiana needs healthy communities. And it needs health care professionals located in all areas of the state from the inner cities to the rural neighborhoods prepared to help educate citizens about health problems and issues and to provide quality service. The Metropolitan Indianapolis Central Indiana Area Health Education Center (MICI-AHEC) plays an important role in providing health care professionals prepared to meet the needs of these counties: Marion, Madison, Johnson, Hancock, Hendricks, Boone, Shelby, Morgan and Hamilton.
Sease Institute
The Sease Institute redefines the role of higher education in workforce development by generating custom corporate training solutions. With a solid track record of partnerships with Central Indiana industry and thought leaders, the Sease Institute focuses on being relevant, agile and responsive in order to design training programs that disrupt the status quo while creating positive and innovative outcomes for partners and the industry.
Stephen F. Fry Professional Edge Center
UIndy's Stephen F. Fry Professional Edge Center provides internship, mentorship, entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for students and new graduates. The Center helps students of all majors, particularly in the liberal arts, increase their exposure to and interaction with business professionals. The Center also seeks to create pipelines in entrepreneurship and industries important to the Central Indiana economy, and in which UIndy has strong academic programs and expertise: the arts, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing & logistics, communications, public service, and nonprofit management.
