Tuition & Cost of Attendance for the OTD Program
The entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate program is charged a flat rate per semester (Fall, Winter, and Summer). For 2025-26, the total flat rate for Fall and Winter is $33,097 ($16,548.50 each semester). The summer flat tuition rate is $8,923. The total cost is $42,020.
In addition, students will be assessed a general service fee:
- Full-time: $1,560/year ($780/semester)
- Part-time: $944/year ($472/semester)
- Summer: $88
Additional estimated costs may include:
- Certified Background Portal Fee, Background Check, Drug Screen, and HIPAA Examination (Prior to starting the program): $115
- University Professional Liability Fee: $50/year
- Textbooks: ~$1,500/year
- ExamSoft Fee*: $64/year
- Student AOTA membership fees: $75/year
All expenses, including tuition and fees, are subject to change annually.
Research costs vary from student to student.
Additional expenses may be incurred (travel, food, lodging, etc.), depending on the fieldwork location.
*A computer that meets ExamSoft/Examplify expectations is required.
PLEASE NOTE: Additions or alterations to the standard curriculum may result in an increased tuition cost.
School of Occupational Therapy Computer Requirements
Students entering the School of Occupational Therapy at University of Indianapolis are required to bring a laptop for use in class. PC or Mac systems are acceptable. Laptops will be used for various in class and out of class activities. The programs utilize computer-based testing through ExamSoft in the Examplify system. All laptops must meet the Examplify minimum requirements. Please review these requirements carefully prior to entering the program to verify your device will meet all of the requirements. This testing can only be completed on laptops and not on tablets (i.e. iPads).
