Exemplary academic advising for undergraduate students

The University of Indianapolis is committed to providing each student with exemplary academic advising, provided by both professional staff and faculty advisors. Undergraduate students entering the University can expect to meet academic and faculty advisors regularly in order to effectively plan for academic and career success.

Each academic school or college includes dedicated academic advisors, along with a specially trained set of faculty advisors to assist students in designing a customized academic plan that prepares the student for not only next semester, but for a lifetime of learning and growth. Academic advisors assist students in each major housed in a particular academic building.

Choosing a Major

Not sure what major best suits your interests and talents? Well, UIndy students can log in to PathwayU to take a short career aptitude test that measures you against more than 100 traits. With that data, you can be matched with some of the 800+ careers in the program. After taking the test, you’ll meet with an Academic Success Advisor or Career Coach to go over the results and help you make a plan.
