The Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction with a STEM concentration is designed for teachers who have completed 18 or more credit hours in a STEM content area and need a master’s degree for credentialing.
Scholarships for Indiana teachers are available but limited through University of Indianapolis (UIndy)’s partnership with STEM Teach. Students interested in the scholarship must apply to CELL’s STEM Teach V Grant.

Program length & Format
The program can be completed in three semesters: Fall, Winter, and Summer. Courses are taught primarily through an asynchronous format with scheduled Zoom office hours and student support sessions. 1-2 evening synchronous sessions may be required.

MA in Curriculum & Instruction (STEM) Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission to the Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction - STEM Concentration program, you must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in your major content area from a college or university that is accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
- Have completed or are in the process of completing 18 graduate credits in a STEM content area through Teach Dual Credit Indiana in one content area (if you are applying for a scholarship).
- Have completed or are in the process of completing 18 graduate credits in a STEM content area (if you are paying your own tuition)
- Have access to transcripts to verify your bachelor’s degree and enrollment in 18 graduate dual credit courses from a college or university that is accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
- Have earned an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher from the baccalaureate degree-granting institution.
- Hold an Indiana teaching license; if you are out of state, then your state teaching license.
Tuition & Aid
Teachers enrolled in the STEM Teach V Grant may be eligible for a full tuition scholarship.
