  • Applicants must be a member of a United Methodist Church
  • Provide notable leadership roles within church and youth group
  • Complete the scholarship application and return it by Feb. 1
  • Renewable for four years

Herbert W. Cassel Scholarship

 Minimum
of $1,000
(stackable)
  • Usually awarded to upper class philosophy majors or minors
  • Merit-based, with consideration of GPA and consistent strong classroom performance in major/minor classes
  • No application necessary

Luther and Elnora Hiatt Family Scholarship in Philosophy & Religion

 Minimum
of $1,000
(non-renewable)
  • Awarded to a philosophy or religion major who is a rising senior
  • Merit-based, with consideration of GPA and consistent strong classroom performance in major/minor classes
  • No application necessary
