Meet Your Study Abroad Team

Katie joined UIndy in May 2026 and serves as the Study Abroad Advisor in the Christel DeHaan Center for Global Engagement.

Originally from Rockport, Indiana, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Southern Indiana in 2020. During her time there, she discovered her passion for international education through two study abroad experiences in Osnabrück, Germany. After graduation, she moved to Germany, where she lived for nearly four years while completing her master’s degree in Marketing at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Higher Education Administration. 

Katie is passionate about helping students find meaningful study abroad experiences that fit their goals and interests. Having experienced firsthand how transformative studying abroad can be, she loves supporting students as they explore opportunities to learn, grow, and experience the world. 

Outside of work, Katie enjoys (not surprisingly!) traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband, family, and many nieces and nephews.

She's an Elementary Education with a focus on Minor Interventions and she studied abroad in Maynooth, Ireland through our El Ed ESAP in the Fall of 2024! This is part of what has her so overjoyed to hear about others' study abroad programs and the memories they've made and share them with prospective Study Abroad Students through Social Media (are you already following us on Instagram?).

She loves to travel and go on mini day-trips with her friends, family and girlfriend. She's looking forward to traveling to Australia to visit friends she met while abroad and being able to reconnect in-person.
