Student Research Opportunities with the CRC

The Community Research Center's primary mission is to provide social science students with real-world research experience. Since the CRC's inception in 2008, numerous graduate and undergraduate students have worked on applied research projects, co-authored research reports with faculty, and presented at national and regional professional conferences.

The CRC also has secured both internal and external grants to pay stipends to student research assistants and provide thousands of dollars for travel to present their research at national conferences, such as the North Central Sociological Association, the Association for Humanist Sociology, and the Southern Sociological Society, among others.
