At UIndy, we offer selected interdisciplinary majors, minors, concentrations, and programs to provide students with opportunities to experience a broad curriculum, to study a theme or issues in the world, and to interconnect courses involving multiple perspectives. Interdisciplinary programs allow students to explore connections across different academic programs, and allow students to learn using multiple disciplinary approaches to gain skills and knowledge in their areas of interest.
UIndy’s interdisciplinary programs have set requirements drawn from several academic departments to help students navigate their exploration and personalized study. Opportunities range from selecting a major in Environmental Sciences, adding a minor in Gender Studies, completing a concentration in Civic Engagement and Community Leadership, or earning a certification of career readiness from the Professional Edge Institute.
Interested students should consult the relevant program’s website, and speak with the program advisor.
