Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Ensembles Auditions 

Auditions for the UIndy Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Ensembles are open to all UIndy students, and are required for all music majors and students receiving Ensemble Grants.

Required audition repertoire

  • Scales (major and harmonic minor, 2 or 3 octaves)
    • Violin: G, A or C
    • Viola: C, D or F
    • Cello: C, D or A
    • Bass: E, F or G
  • Solo piece - Please prepare an excerpt from a solo work or etude of your choice (no more than two minutes in duration).
