Psychology with Occupational or Physical Therapy

If you're interested in applying psychology to a health profession focused on patient rehabilitation of injuries or disabilities, consider combining a psychology degree with occupational or physical therapy.

Psychology with Pre-OT Concentration

The psychology major at the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) can be paired with Pre-OT concentration. Students can choose between traditional and the accelerated pathways. The 3+ entry option (accelerated) allows you to begin graduate-level occupational therapy courses during your fourth year, which count toward both your bachelor's in psychology and your future graduate degree.

Psychology with Physical Therapy Concentration

This program allows you to complete an undergraduate degree in psychology and all the prerequisites needed to get into a graduate program in physical therapy. You'll be able to complete all coursework in three years, and apply to graduate school during your final year. Unlike the psychology with OT program, this program will not allow you to take graduate courses as an undergraduate - you must apply and be accepted to graduate school in physical therapy. This program does, however, give you the advantage of starting your graduate studies a year earlier!
