UIndy Center for Data Science
Providing opportunities to collaborate on solving challenging data problemsAbout the Center
We are experiencing a data revolution with more data being collected than ever before. Those who can harness the power of this data are in great demand. At the University of Indianapolis, we have responded to this demand with our undergraduate data science program and the creation of the Center for Data Science (CDS) to train the next generation of data scientists.
The CDS aims to bring students, faculty, and industry partners together to form a diverse and vibrant data science community and create an environment for multidisciplinary collaboration and innovation. Students are introduced to hands-on data applications through partnerships with various organizations.
Student Success Stories
Levi Hallman '26 (Data Science) presented his project for the summer internship at Zotec.
Jonathan Gonzalez Martinez '25 (Data Science) represented his research project at the SIAM Great Lake Meeting at Illinois Tech University.
Emma Croxford '22 (Mathematics, Data Science, History, Spanish), one of the first students in UIndy's data science program, recommends that all students consider a minor or major in data science.
