Brightspace

Brightspace is the University of Indianapolis’ Learning Management System (LMS). It is the central hub for course materials, assignments, discussions, assessments, and communication. Whether you’re teaching online, hybrid, or face-to-face, Brightspace supports a flexible and consistent environment for student learning.

Through Brightspace, you can:

  • Post and organize course syllabi, readings, and resources
  • Collect and grade assignments
  • Facilitate discussions and collaboration
  • Provide feedback through rubrics and built-in tools
  • Track student progress with grade book and analytics

The Faculty Academy maintains step-by-step guides and resources in ScreenSteps to help you set up, teach, and troubleshoot in Brightspace. Our guides also connect you to official D2L resources when a feature is more general in nature.
