Donor Societies
Your generosity, at any level, is greatly appreciated. The following recognition levels highlight the various ways in which you can make a meaningful impact at UIndy.
1400 Circle
(Monthly Supporters)

Honoring the physical address of campus and the place many Hounds call home, the 1400 Circle recognizes those who make monthly recurring gifts to UIndy. Donors will receive invitations to select UIndy events, video messages from students sharing their UIndy experiences, and a commemorative sticker featuring the 1400 Circle emblem. Here’s how small monthly gifts make a big impact at UIndy:
- $50 a month can purchase an emergency-use laptop for students
- $25 a month can fund a model heart for classes in our anatomy lab
- $10 a month can bring a virtual speaker into a class
Become a member of the 1400 Circle by setting up your monthly gift at UIndy.
The Leadership Society
($1,000+ annual gifts)
The Leadership Society comprises individuals who give $1,000 or more to the University each fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). Donors in the Leadership Society are closely connected to the University and its mission and provide much of the momentum for UIndy's continued success. Donors will receive invitations to select UIndy events and special communication from UIndy leaders.
Gifts of $2,500 or more allow you to participate in the Sponsored Scholars Program.
I. Lynd Esch Society
(estate giving)
During his time as president (1945-1970), Dr. I. Lynd Esch invited all graduating seniors for an interview. During that conversation, Dr. Esch took care to educate the students about how they had benefited from the generosity of alumni and about the obligation that they now shared to maintain that support for the institution and for the next generation of students.
The University maintains the legacy of Dr. Esch through the Esch Society, our premier giving-recognition level. Esch Society members have generously included the University in their estate plans. The individuals who make this type of ultimate gift are answering Dr. Esch's challenge by providing needed funds for the institution's endowment and other designated areas.
When you include and notify the University of your estate intentions, we are able to establish guidelines that will guarantee that your gift is used how you intended. It also provides us an opportunity to express our gratitude on behalf of the students you are helping. If you would like to speak with someone about leaving the University in your will, please contact Janel Bogenschutz, Associate Vice President of Advancement.
1902 Society
(25 years of giving)
A lot can happen to a campus in 25 years, but one thing remains the same-the support of the University's friends and family.
More than 700 households are members of the 1902 Society. This giving society, named for the year of the University's founding, celebrates donors who made gifts in 25 or more fiscal years.
Small gifts over time can have a huge effect. Together, the members of the 1902 Society have donated more than $17.5 million to UIndy. Donors are recognized for gifts of any size to any fund, and membership is perpetual.
Members of the 1902 Society receive special communications and event invitations throughout the year, as well as a special lapel pin.
