Crimson Greyson Veritas II
Meet Crimson Greyson Veritas II, affectionately known as Grady the Greyhound. Grady is the current live mascot for the University of Indianapolis. He came to Indianapolis in the fall of 2025 from New South Wales, Australia. Grady raced briefly before Greyhounds As Pets - New South Wales worked with the Indianapolis chapter of Greyhound Pets of America to move him to the United States. The University worked with both agencies to adopt him as our official mascot.
Grady is a fawn brindle greyhound. He is very affectionate with a personality that wins hearts. However, moving from Australia to become a live mascot has been a bit of a journey, and we’re giving him some grace as he learns this new life. He was the "mascot in training" since his debut in October 2025. He officially stepped into the official mascot role in May 2026. Coran Sigman '14 '21 will continue to serve as the Mascot Handler, and she and her husband adopted Grady I as their family dog.
You can learn more about Grady II in our University of Indianapolis magazine.
Thank you, Greyhound fans and family, for all of your support! Without your engagement and your belief in the program, the UIndy Live Mascot Program would not be possible.
As Grady likes to say, stay pawsitive, and Go Greyhounds!
