Admissions Criteria for OTD Priority Admit Option
August 2027 start date
This application process is open to students with at least junior status (60-89 credits) at any institution who is projected to graduate with an undergraduate degree by August 2027.
- Applicants must be at a junior status at any regionally accredited institution.
- Current UIndy students who have been identified as early assurance or 3+ entry as incoming freshmen, can apply using this method and eliminate CAS application fees.
- Interested students must apply using the University of Indianapolis Application System between the dates of January 15 - April 15 of their junior year.
- Successful completion of the following prerequisite courses (with a ‘C’ or better) by time of application.
- 2 of 4 behavioral sciences courses
- One of the following courses
- Chemistry or physics
- Statistics
- The remaining prerequisite courses must be completed prior to the start of the OTD program. Admission will be contingent on the completion of all prerequisites with a C or better prior to the start of the program (August 2026)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application
- Three (3) letters of recommendation. One recommendation must be from an occupational therapist. Two additional letters must be from professional or academic source
- Invited applicants will participate in an on-campus interview
