Interprofessional Health & Aging Studies (IHAS) dual Programs
Students can pursue one of a variety of dual program options with shared credits, thus reducing the overall number of credits needed to complete both. The Department of Interprofessional Health & Aging Studies (IHAS) works with other departments and schools in the College of Health Sciences to offer curriculum that will provide graduates with greater gateways in their chosen field.
Benefits of a Dual Program
Dual programs allow students to pursue two degrees, or a degree plus a certificate, simultaneously. Each degree or certificate is generally in a different field or discipline, although there are areas of overlap between them allowing for credits to be shared between the programs. Students can complete both programs in fewer credits than if they were completing the programs sequentially and not part of a dual program.
Benefits include:
- Earning multiple credentials using less time and money
- Broadened perspectives: credentials in complementary fields and/or disciplines
- Standing out in the job market
Our dual programs are either 100% online or a hybrid format, making them feasible for nontraditional students and working professionals. The majority of our dual programs do not have specific undergraduate degree requirements for admission, making them ideal for someone looking to change career paths or explore something new.
