UIndy Clery Act Reports

Annual Report

In compliance with the Clery Act, the University of Indianapolis publishes annual reports of campus security and fire safety.

Daily Crime Logs

In addition to the annual report, the police department keeps daily logs of any crimes or other incidents to which they respond. Older logs are available for viewing within two business days of a request in the police department offices, 3920 S. Shelby St., during regular business hours, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. ET Monday-Friday.

If you require access to material that is presented with a barrier, please report the accessibility barrier.

Disclosures

According to Federal Law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, i.e. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition if any of the following conditions apply:

  1. The disclosure is prohibited by law
  2. If disclosure would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim.
  3. If disclosure would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual
  4. If disclosure would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection
  5. If disclosure would result in the destruction of evidence

Crime log case numbers do not run sequentially. The University Police Department assigns a case number for all reportable activities, both criminal and non-criminal. Only case numbers generated for criminal activity are listed in the crime log. Crimes are in chronological order. The most recent crimes are at the bottom of the list.

Past Crime Logs

Fire Logs

The police department also keeps a log of any fires to which they report.
