Office of the Provost
Dr. Chris PlouffAbout the Provost
In my role, I have the privilege of working with academic leadership, faculty, and staff to do something quite extraordinary – provide high quality learning experiences and programs for Greyhound students while helping shape the future of UIndy. Our students’ learning and success are our primary focus. UIndy’s faculty members are world-class and establish an educational environment that is personal, contemporary, innovative, vibrant, challenging, and supportive. Unlike many colleges and universities, they bring significant experience in their disciplines to their teaching, providing real-world content to their classes and connections to people and organizations, leading to experiential learning and career opportunities. Teaching is their focus, yet they are widely known in their fields for their scholarly expertise and service – many times done with (and always done for) the benefit of our students. Students have the opportunity to engage in projects and research alongside these experts, or even perhaps explore some other part of the world with them, while they serve as a guide and mentor. Our amazing staff always supports students’ personal and professional growth with every step of their journey.
To our students, both current and prospective: Whether you are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, a certificate or short course, or seeking training to advance in your career, you will find programs at UIndy that are designed to meet your goals and needs. And I am confident you will not find a more caring and committed community, focused on your success. Our commitment to Greyhound nation is that we are here for you: Anywhere. Anytime. For life.
