  • File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The amount of the award varies based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA.

  • 21st Century Scholars with maximum need may receive the Discovery Award that, in combination with federal and state grant aid, is equal to full tuition. A GPA of 2.7 or higher is required.
  • And UIndy annually renews the Discovery Awards to 21st Century Scholars who maintain a 2.0 GPA with 30 credit hours per year.
  • Submit a final, official high school transcript to UIndy to verify your GPA of 2.7 or higher and Core 40 or Core 40 with Honors Diploma.
  • Submit the FAFSA by April 15.
  • Successfully complete and update all 12 Scholar Success Program tasks by June 30.

Indiana's 21st Century Scholars program provides up to four years of undergraduate tuition to income-eligible students at participating colleges or universities as well as step-by-step guidance and support to ensure their college success in earning degrees.
