There are several ways to experience campus before starting classes!

Financial Aid & Scholarships

At UIndy, we’re committed to making your education as affordable as possible. We work hard to make scholarships, grants, and other aid available to our students. Use these resources, and others, to help cover your tuition, fees, campus housing, and other university charges each semester.

Important Note: Your books are included in your tuition cost!

Almost all first-year and transfer students qualify for financial aid. This lessens the burden of paying for college, so you can focus on pursuing your educational dreams.

Financial Aid for Transfer Students

Scholarships are some of the most important - and most prestigious - types of financial aid given to students. Awarded based on academic performance, student achievements, or financial need, scholarships can help cover your costs at UIndy and don’t have to be paid back.

Classroom & Real-World Experience

No matter the subject you plan to study, you will gain hands-on learning experiences beginning in your first year as a Greyhound! The experience you gain in the classroom allows you to build:

  • Mentorship with your professors who want to see you succeed.
  • Skills for your resume to help you land the internship you want.
  • Knowledge that will help you think critically and creatively to solve problems in the classroom and beyond.

UIndy professors don’t just teach, they get to know their students to help them become the best version of themselves. Students like Emma worked alongside faculty in research labs, gaining hands-on experience while building relationships that helped connect them to new opportunities and experiences.

Dr. Greg Weber has really influenced me in my time at UIndy. He opened my eyes to the science of research and working in the lab. I have really enjoyed the work that we do, and I feel like I have learned so much through it.

Campus Resources & Support

As a UIndy student, you will have access to a wide variety of resources to help you meet your academic goals, health goals, and more!

The UIndy Bookstore is where you can pick up your course materials and UIndy merch/swag! Required books are included in your tuition, eliminating an additional out-of-pocket expense and helping families better plan for the full cost of attendance.

The Krannert Memorial Library is a campus destination with access to knowledgeable librarians, excellent information resources, and a variety of educational technologies. The library also offers private and group study rooms that students can reserve.

The UIndy Writing Lab, located in the Krannert Memorial Library, offers help with research proposals, theses, dissertations, and course essay assignments.

Career coaches at the Stephen F. Fry Professional Edge Center (Pro Edge) are here to help prepare you for your career beyond graduation. The ProEdge Center offers skills training, one-on-one coaching, document review, interview practice, and internship and career planning.

The Health & Wellness Center offers typical primary care services for all UIndy students. The center has three full-time nurse practitioners and one part-time physician to provide care. A Health Coach is also available to offer wellness and fitness programs.

The Center, known as CAPS, is conveniently located on the second floor of Schwitzer Student Center in the heart of UIndy’s campus. You'll find state-of-the-art fitness equipment for anyone in the UIndy community who wants to work out, along with hands-on learning experiences and research opportunities.

The Counseling Center can help you navigate the stress of school and other mental health matters you may face. It offers a variety of resources, including individual counseling appointments, groups, and workshops.

In addition, students have FREE, 24/7 access to virtual care services with TimelyCare — the virtual health and well-being platform — designed for college students.

The Phil and Janet Terry Center for Student Success serves as a resource hub for students in need of financial, academic, and social support as they work to complete their degree at UIndy. The Terry Center seeks to understand students’ personal and academic goals, and make sure that no concern goes unaddressed.

Programs target all audiences, covering fundamental skills essential for academic excellence. Contact the Terry Center for Student Success at theterrycenter@uindy.edu for further information or visit the office in Schwitzer Student Center, Room 206.

Students with documented disabilities are eligible for services and accommodations in compliance with the American with Disabilities Act. The Office of Disability Services can assist you with establishing eligibility for services.

The University of Indianapolis also offers the Build Program that provides additional academic, social, and emotional support in a family-style environment. Build strives to create success in every area of a student's life and realizes that everyone grows at their own pace.

UIndy’s Office of Ecumenical and Interfaith Programs is committed to supporting the spiritual health of all students, regardless of their religious tradition or whether they have a religious commitment at all. While UIndy has a United Methodist heritage and many students ascribe to Christianity, the office ministers to students from all walks of life.
