UIndy offices & organizations

Student Veterans in need of assistance can always email veterans@uindy.edu, a shared email between multiple UIndy departments with the sole goal of better serving UIndy's student veterans. 

  • Registrar
    Home of your VA Enrollment Coordinator (i.e., School Certifying Official) who assists with VA Educational Benefits, Federal Tuition Assistance, and more. 
  • Financial Aid
    Assists with state military assistance awards (e.g., Indiana's Tuition and Fee Exemption for Children of Disabled Veterans), assistance with Yellow Ribbon and Freedom Award(complement to the Yellow Ribbon Award).
  • Office of Student Billing and Payment
    Assists with viewing and paying your bill.
  • Stephen F. Fry Professional Edge Center
    UIndy's Professional Edge Center (Pro Edge) is our on-campus career center to help students with career questions or needs. Our Career Coaches meet individually with students to address their unique skills and interests to help them become Confident, Competitive, Career Ready and Connected.

    These services are available to our veteran and military-affiliated students to help them highlight the many experiences and skills they've acquired through their military background, along with a tailored Resource Page that can be accessed 24/7.

    The Pro Edge team is eager to partner with veteran and military-affiliated students in helping make a successful transition to their civilian career goals.
  • ROTC
    UIndy partners with Indiana University, Indianapolis for the ROTC program.
  • Undergraduate Admissions
    Coordinates campus visits and application to UIndy for most full-time undergraduate programs for first-time or transfer students.
  • Graduate Admissions
    Coordinates campus visits and application to UIndy for incoming graduate students and the Accelerated Bachelor of Science Nursing program.
  • Student Affairs
    Contact Student Affairs for information on the UIndy Student Veteran Organization. 
  • Disability Resources & Build
    Coordinates services and accommodations for students with disabilities.
  • Counseling Services
    Mental health services, consultation, and outreach to support the emotional well-being of UIndy students. UIndy students have free 24/7 access to virtual care services with TimelyCare.

    Learn about PTSD treatment and other mental health services in VA and Veteran Centers, including how to make claims for VA benefits to cover your care. 
  • Directory of VA Accredited Representatives
    VA-accredited representatives include Veterans Service Organizations (VSO), attorneys, and claims agents. VA-accredited representatives are authorized to provide help with VA benefit claims to VA beneficiaries.
