Our standard campus visit is two hours long, including a one-hour meeting with an admissions counselor and a one-hour tour with a current student. Additional meetings scheduled with faculty, coaches, or other campus partners may extend your time on campus.

Plan to arrive on campus approximately 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit. This will allow enough time to find visitor parking, walk to the Office of Admissions (located in Esch Hall) and a brief check-in for your campus visit. You may check in for your visit at the Office of Admissions up to 30 minutes prior to your visit’s scheduled start time. Indiana is in the Eastern Daylight Savings time zone.

All campus visits include a 1-hour appointment with an admissions counselor and a 1-hour campus tour led by a current UIndy student that includes many of our campus buildings. Your total visit duration will last for two hours. Visits are scheduled on Indiana time which is Eastern Time. If you think there is a time zone difference, you can click here to verify.

Documents are not necessary for your campus visit; however, if you have required documents that are needed for your admission application, financial aid or for other business you plan to take care of while on campus, you’re welcome to bring those official documents with you.

If you have an interest in meeting with a faculty member or athletic coach during your campus visit, please contact the Office of Admissions at 317-788-3216 or undergradvisits@uindy.edu.  While we cannot guarantee a meeting, we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Depending on where you choose to stay in Indianapolis or the surrounding area, there are a number of hotels and restaurants near campus. Closest to UIndy, you may look for hotels near the Southport Road Exit for Interstate 65. If you choose to stay closer to downtown or other areas of Indianapolis, we encourage you to check out visitindy.com. You will find plenty of great hotels, restaurants and other fun activities to do during your time in Indy.

The primary guest parking lot for the Office of Admissions is Lot 2 on our maps. This lot can be accessed from Shelby Street and Greyhound Lane on the west side of campus.

If lot 2 is full, you may choose to park in any of the additional visitor parking lots labeled on the map including Lots: 3, 5, 9, 12, 14, and 16. Please display your parking permit on your dashboard, whichever lot you choose.

Once your campus visit experience concludes, you will receive an email 24 hours after. This email will include a copy of the student’s visit verification form (which can be submitted to their high school) along with a link to our brief visit survey. We are always looking for ways to improve our visit experience - your feedback is greatly appreciated!
