UIndy Innovation Studio
Unlock real-world learning.Studio Overview: Student-Led Projects & Consulting Services
The UIndy Innovation Studio is a conduit for applied learning projects, student-led experiential projects, and faculty consulting. It is a services-based firm housed in the University of Indianapolis School of Business. The Studio is led by Director Carissa Newton and Assistant Dean Riley Gibb.
Businesses can bring projects to the Innovation Studio through a Request for Proposal (RFP)/Creative Brief Review Process. There are a number of ways businesses can engage with the studio, and they are outlined below:
The University of Indianapolis has a long history of utilizing applied and experiential learning projects within the curriculum to further develop our students. Single time-based projects that fit within the context and experience level of a class will be eligible for applied learning projects at no cost to the client.
Our students gain real-world experience through the applied learning projects and classes they pursue within our programs. Businesses interested in working with our students in student-led projects can submit for consideration through an RFP/Project Creative Brief Review Process. Student-led Projects are typically longer, time-based projects that require more than introductory experience. The students leading the projects will be compensated for their work through the fees collected by the program from the clients.
There are times when client projects require more depth and experience. While our Innovation Studio will not be the direct supplier of these services, we can offer referrals to graduates, faculty, and alumni resources that may be able to assist. These services would be for fee and negotiable directly with the practitioner providing the services.
The team is currently considering projects in the following areas:
- Marketing Strategy
- Digital Marketing
- Content Marketing
- Marketing Strategy
- Data Analytics
- Data Visualization
- Market Research
To get started, organizations must submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Project Creative Brief.
