Nominate a Standout Faculty Member

Our goal is to recognize an array of faculty accomplishment across the areas of teaching, scholarship and service. This award recognizes achievements in areas not specifically addressed by the Teacher of the Year award. 

Faculty Award Categories

This award recognizes a faculty member who is new to higher education and within the first 4 years of service. The individual must have demonstrated significant progress toward implementation of a successful scholarly agenda.

The award recognizes a faculty member whose scholarly work has received substantial external recognition.

This award recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in teaching core coursework for undergraduate students.

This award recognizes a faculty member who demonstrates exceptional leadership with advancing a program, committee, task force or other group to achieve goals of importance to UIndy.

This award recognizes a faculty member or team of faculty members who has successfully pursued work across disciplinary lines in the areas of scholarship, program development, curricula, service, or coursework.

This award recognizes a faculty member who best represents the UIndy motto of education for service in teaching or scholarly work.

This award recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated exemplary integration of teaching, scholarship and service.

Nomination Process

Nominations will come from the provost’s council and be submitted to the provost’s office. A selection committee will bring recommendations forward to the provost. This committee will consist of representatives from the provost council and may also include past award winners.

Eligibility

Although award nominations may build on past work, the nominee should have exhibited significant accomplishments over the prior academic year to be considered for an award. Nominees may be nominated for more than one award.
