Academic Standing & Grading Policy

The grading policy for each course is noted specifically in the course syllabus. Students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average to be in good academic standing. In addition, a grade of "C" or higher is required for each course within the DPT program. Any grade of "C-" or below will result in dismissal from the DPT program.

If the cumulative grade point average is below 3.0 at the conclusion of any semester of the DPT program, the student will be placed on academic probation. Dismissal will occur if the cumulative 3.0 grade point average is not achieved by the completion of the subsequent semester, excluding summer terms. If the student has not achieved a cumulative 3.0 grade point average at the time of a full-time clinical experience, the student will be dismissed from the DPT program.
