UIndy’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing offers a true direct-admit experience, giving you immediate entry into the nursing program as a first-year student. From day one, you’ll know your seat in the program is secure, allowing you to focus on building clinical skills, forming meaningful faculty connections, and engaging in hands-on learning without the uncertainty of a secondary admission process. It’s a clear, confident pathway designed to help you step into nursing with purpose and momentum.
The Early Assurance option for the Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program is designed for incoming freshmen who declare Pre-Athletic Training as their concentration alongside any undergraduate major. This pathway helps guide course selections throughout an undergraduate career, ensuring students meet all prerequisites and professional standards.
With acceptance into the Early Assurance program and fulfillment of all required criteria, students are guaranteed admission into the Master of Science in Athletic Training program.

Incoming freshmen interested in securing a spot in UIndy’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program can apply for Direct Admission/Early Assurance status by declaring Pre-Physical Therapy as their concentration on their university application.
Selected students will receive an official offer via email and must return the completed electronic intent form by the specified deadline to confirm participation. Once admitted, students must meet ongoing academic and program-specific requirements each year to retain their guaranteed admission status.
Eligible students must participate in a program interview and submit all required materials through the Physical Therapy Centralized Application System (PTCAS).
This pathway provides a clear and supportive route for students committed to pursuing a career in physical therapy from their first semester at UIndy.
UIndy’s Early Assurance Admission Program for Occupational Therapy offers incoming freshmen a path to the entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program. This option is open to students who have declared their intention to enter the OTD program upon completing their undergraduate studies, regardless of major (though a Pre-Occupational Therapy Concentration is strongly recommended).
Students are reviewed for early assurance three times per year (December, January, and February). Those selected will be notified by mail and must return the intent form by the stated deadline.
