UIndy International Student Orientation

International student orientation is comprised of three parts:
During this gathering, new international students meet each other, are introduced to key staff and current international student leaders, and receive an overview of the entire orientation program.
International Student Welcome Session Tentative Schedule:
- August enrollment
Wednesday morning before classes begin the following Monday - January enrollment
Friday morning before classes begin the following Monday or Tuesday
During Welcome Week (August enrollment) or January New Hounds Orientation, international students join the broader new student community in preparing for a successful transition to university life at UIndy.

This course is available on brightspace.uindy.edu a few weeks before the beginning of the first semester of enrollment. Through this course, students acquire vital information such as how to use the medical insurance plan and how to maintain legal status in the U.S.
Fast Facts About Orientation
International students living on campus may move in one or two days before International Student Orientation. Students may move in until 8 p.m. and must make an appointment to move in. Students should submit their arrival day and time to their admissions counselor or to admissions-international@uindy.edu at least two weeks before their arrival.
UIndy offers international students living on campus free pickup from the Indianapolis International Airport. Students must book flights scheduled to arrive at the Indianapolis airport by 7 p.m. and must submit flight details to their admissions counselor or to admissions-international@uindy.edu at least two weeks before their arrival.
Before arriving on campus:
- Set up My UIndy account
- Math placement exam
- English self-assessment
- Submit vaccination records and tuberculosis test results according to the procedures.
- Make tuition payment arrangements with the Office of Student Billing and Payment.
- Download the University of Indianapolis ("UIndy") App to your phone from your app store. Log in with your My UIndy username and password.
- Join ZeeMee to connect with other new students.
After arriving on campus:
- Get ID card (Student Affairs Office, Schwitzer Student Center 210)
- Submit any remaining admission documents (Christel DeHaan Center for Global Engagement, Esch Hall 223) admissions-international@uindy.edu
- Admissions - Learn more about the admissions process.
- Advising - Academic advisors will help you navigate the different classes you need to take in order to successfully complete your degree.
- International Student Services - The Office of International Services housed in the Christel DeHaan Center for Global Engagement will help students overcome some of the challenges they face during their transition to the university.
- Office of Student Billing and Payment - In order to access the online E-bill system.
- Residence Life - Learn more about campus life and what things you should bring to campus.
