Parking Violations

Ticketing enforcement will be adjusted to 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., effective immediately, to better accommodate faculty, staff and students arriving in the afternoon for evening commitments. As a reminder, parking is open in all lots on weekends and outside of these hours during the week (with the exception of yellow curbs, reserved and ADA spaces).

Ticket appeals & payments

Payments or appeals of City-County Ordinance violations and/or Uniform Traffic Tickets are handled through normal civil procedures off campus.

If you are paying with a debit or credit card, you must pay online through the UIndy Parking Portal.

You can pay with cash or check at the following offices:

Weekdays, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Check payments only (debit and credit card payments should be made online)

UIndy Police office
3920 S. Shelby St.
Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Cash and check payments only (debit and credit card payments should be made online)

You can appeal your ticket to UIndy's traffic appeals board online through the UIndy Parking Portal (instructions for appealing a citation). 

Tickets should be paid or appealed within 10 business days of the issue date. If you fail to pay fines or otherwise resolve traffic citations, you may not be able to register for classes, your official transcripts or diploma may be withheld or you may lose campus parking privileges.
