Statement of Student Financial Responsibility
Each student attending the University of Indianapolis assumes responsibility for payment of all University-related expenses not covered by financial aid awarded by the University. Financial responsibility includes meeting payment deadlines, fulfilling loan or grant requirements, and addressing any outstanding balances—even if someone else is making payments on the student's behalf.
As part of this responsibility, all students are required to review and accept the Student Financial Responsibility Agreement (SFRA) each semester. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of your financial obligations to the University, including tuition, fees, billing practices, financial aid policies, and consequences for non-payment.
The agreement is presented electronically through the UIndy eBill system, and while it does not impact course registration, students must accept the SFRA each semester before accessing their eBill account and billing information.
Students who withdraw from the University must make arrangements to meet all outstanding financial obligations, including but not limited to tuition and fees, room and board, health service-related fees, and traffic fines. A student’s transcript will not be released until all financial obligations have been paid in full.
Each graduating student must also pay all outstanding balances before graduation. A diploma will not be awarded until all financial obligations to the University have been satisfied.
