As Executive Director, one of Erica’s focuses is supporting and building health career focused programs and camps that effectively expose underrepresented populations with the skills and resources needed to increase graduation and matriculation into health professions programs. Her focus is also to incorporate community-based collaborations that will provide interprofessional health education to those students and participants that interact and connect with MICI-AHEC.
The major role of the MICI-AHEC Executive Director is budget management through resource allocation, strategic planning with key stakeholders, program development/management, community outreach, collaboration, and staff development. Erica’s number one priority is continuing to build and provide impeccable programming and camps by sustaining the mission of MICI-AHEC. That mission involves addressing regional healthcare workforce shortages through education and collaborative community relationships that assist students, career seekers, and health professionals.
