2025 Welcome Week: Transfer Track

Welcome Week will begin on Wednesday, August 20 and end on Saturday, August 23. While all new students are encouraged to attend Welcome Week, the university recognizes the valuable experience that many transfer students bring with them from other campuses. Below are some events the Office of Student Affairs recommends attending throughout the week!

Please note: Events marked with an asterisk (*) are required for all new students. Attendance will be taken.

Wednesday, August 20
Date/Time	Description
2–3 p.m.	Convocation (Nicoson Hall) * The official welcome for the Class of 2029. This session is required for students. Parents and families are encouraged to attend!
3–5 p.m.	All-Campus Ice Cream Party (Schwitzer Park) Families and students are invited to attend an All-Campus Ice Cream Party in Schwitzer Park!
5–6:30 p.m.	Transfer Reception & Social (UIndy Hall A) Come join us for snacks, desserts, and refreshments! This is an opportunity to meet and network with other new, incoming transfer students. Enjoy music, activities, and pick up free UIndy SWAG!
7:30–8 p.m.	Safety & Title IX Presentation (Nicoson Hall) * This important session will demonstrate how to be safe, civil and engaged in the campus community.

Thursday, August 21

12–2 p.m.	RSO Resource Fair (Schwitzer Student Center)
2–3 p.m.	Sex Rules!: Title IX Talk (Nicoson Hall) *
3:30–4:30 p.m.	Commuter Student Meeting (Various Locations) r**equired for commuter students
8–10 p.m.	Night Ops: Capture the Flag (Smith Mall and Various Locations)

Friday, August 22

1–4 p.m.	All Campus Cookout (Schwitzer Park)
8–10 p.m.	UIndy After Dark: Game Night Takeover
