Upcoming Events

The Center for Service-Learning and Community Engagement hosts the following events each year.

SERVICE FOR IMPACT DAY

Held during Welcome Week to kick off the semester, this event is an opportunity to come together and make a meaningful difference through various service activities both on campus and in the surrounding UIndy neighborhood. The day is designed to engage students in giving back to the community while fostering connection, service, and civic responsibility at the start of the semester.

Community Partners Fair

During this event–held at the beginning of each semester–we provide the opportunity for UIndy students to network with 125+ community partners with whom they may be able to complete their service-learning project or engage through volunteerism.

Service-Learning Expo and Celebration

During this event–held at the end of the fall semester–UIndy students, faculty and staff network and celebrate with community partners with whom they served and learned throughout the semester.  The event is designed to provide spaces for students and faculty to showcase their experiences alongside their partner agencies and to celebrate the many ways they have engaged with the community through service and learning.

Community Campus Forum & Service Expo

Held at the end of the spring semester, this expo provides the opportunity for UIndy students to showcase their service-learning projects. The event is designed for partners, students, and faculty to network through collaboration and celebration, and includes awards recognizing outstanding service and community engagement.

Great UIndy Clean up

Held in April during Earth Month, this event is an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and community members to come together to care for and beautify the campus and surrounding UIndy neighborhood. The day is designed to promote environmental stewardship, community engagement, and pride in maintaining shared spaces.
