UIndy Gardens & Community Park

The University of Indianapolis is committed to sustaining efforts to address poverty and expand food access for students and neighbors on the southside of Indianapolis. With three sites on campus, the Center is working to expand the University's community gardens and community park into teaching and learning labs, while also growing produce for residents and hosting events that strengthen community connections. Through this work, UIndy students and local residents will be empowered with the knowledge, skills, and resources to address food insecurity. This project will not only broaden the gardens' reach and impact but also foster environmental stewardship among neighbors, students, faculty, and staff, while building on existing partnerships and engagement.
