Eligibility
Vincennes University students are eligible for admission to UIndy once they have:
- Completed their application for admission to the University of Indianapolis
- Course grades are at least a C (2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4-point scale)
If you have questions about how your credits may transfer to UIndy, please utilize our online Transfer Equivalency tool.
Students may also request a preliminary transfer credit report prior to admission to see how their current credits fit into UIndy’s bachelor's degree curriculum. Once you apply and are accepted to UIndy, expect to receive an official credit transfer report reflecting incoming credits. Admitted students will also have immediate access to a major-specific advisor through academic advising.
Steps For a Successful Transfer to UIndy
No matter where you are in the transfer process, it’s helpful to have a roadmap to make your transfer successful. Remember, you also have access to our dedicated Transfer Admission Counselor to help you every step of the way.
Before you apply to UIndy, it's important to do the following:

- Meet with the Transfer Admissions Counselor
- Know your program requirements and maintain your grades
- Visit UIndy's campus
- Research financial aid and scholarship opportunities
Once you fill out your application for admission and we have your application on file, our Transfer Admissions Counselor can help you tailor your educational experience based on what's important to you.
- FILE YOUR FAFSA
Begin working on your financial aid by completing the FAFSA and revising it to add UIndy’s school code: 001804. - STAY ON TOP OF YOUR GRADES
While you finish up the rest of your coursework at Vincennes University, stay on top of your grades. Your final grades in your current courses matter in your course transfer eligibility to UIndy. You must maintain a C average or higher. - STAY ORGANIZED FOR DEADLINES
Stay organized to avoid missing important admission or program deadlines at UIndy. - PAYMENT & FINANCIAL AID
Make sure payment arrangements and financial aid requirements are finalized by the time you transfer to UIndy. Schedule and attend a New Transfer Student Orientation after you've been accepted to UIndy and prior to attending classes. - PROVIDE YOUR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS
Send your official college and high school transcripts to us by one of the following ways:

- To mail official transcripts to the University of Indianapolis, ATTN:
- Pick up your transcripts in person, and deliver them to UIndy at the address above. Please do not open the transcripts as they will be considered unofficial if open at the time of delivery.
- Ask Vincennes University and your previous high school institution*:
*UIndy does not need your high school transcripts if you will have earned your associate's degree by the time you officially start classes with us.
It's important to become connected with UIndy's Stephen F. Fry Professional Edge Center (Pro Edge) right away. You're much closer to the real world and your professional career than our traditional freshmen students. As a Greyhound, you will receive guidance from Pro Edge as you begin planning for internship opportunities during college and your professional career following graduation.
The Perfect Fit
Located on approximately 90 acres just 10 minutes from downtown Indianapolis, our students enjoy an urban experience at a small, close-knit campus. It’s small enough to get personalized attention but big enough to support a variety of diverse populations throughout. You'll enjoy smaller, more intimate class sizes where you will receive personalized attention from your professors. You won’t become lost in a sea of people throughout a lecture hall.

Some are service-oriented, degree or academic-based, or special-interest focused, but all provide our students with opportunities to explore their interests, grow personally, professionally, or academically, develop valuable skills, and express themselves freely within a supportive community.
Scholarships Specifically For Vincennes Transfer Students
There are many benefits transfer student experience with joining our pack. For instance, our University has a variety of scholarships specific to Vincennes Transfer students.
- Amount: $2,000 per year
- Eligibility: Available to students graduating with their associate’s degree from Vincennes University. Award is renewable for up to six semesters and stackable as long as the student remains in good academic standing, enrolled full-time, and maintains at least a 2.7 GPA.
- Amount: $5,000-$17,000
- Eligibility: Based on transferable, college-level credit hours and college GPA, with all admitted students are reviewed for eligibility
- Renewal requirements: Full-time enrollment with a GPA of 2.0 to 2.7 (depending on the value of the award) or higher
